We will be using this site to communicate with parents/guardians of all the students in the class. This site will give us an opportunity to relay messages, create volunteer sign up sheets, and any additional information pertaining to our classroom. If you find that you are not receiving information from the class please let us know.

Please send a separate snack with your child each day. We will be eating snack after lunch so you may want to put their snack in a different pocket of their backpack so they don’t eat their snack during luck. We will not have extra snacks in the classroom.
These folders are provided to each student and go back and forth each day. Please check the folder for any papers to be returned and/or important information.
Homework is sent home in the “take-home” green folder each Monday and is to be returned on Monday the following week. here are generally two pages of the students to do each night to bridge the gap between home and school. If it is also encouraged that you reach with your child daily. Modeling for your child encourages fluency and expression. This will also help to reach the 100 book goal over the year (50 books per semester).
In the morning, line up at our door on the KG line. At 8:45 a.m., kiss and say “good-bye” – we are off to learn! Once our line goes inside, the door may not be reopen, so you will have to go around and check in with security and the front office. Please try to be on time. 8:50 a.m. is considered tardy!
Afternoon pick up is at 3:15 p.m. at our classroom door (unless they are in Aftercare or Bolling Bus etc.). Please remind us of who you are and who you are picking up. We have a lot of new faces! Please do not come into the hallway. We will send your little one out to you! If students need to be picked up early, please sign them out from the security desk prior to picking them up from class. Please send them with a note, so that we can be sure to have things ready when you arrive.
Rules & Consequences:
We have five majors rules in our classroom. When one of these rules is broken, students are given a warning. Following the warning, students are asked to move their Popsicle stick up the traffic light from green to yellow to red. Students always have the opportunity to move back down to green. If a major problem occurs or there is a consistent issue, a note may go home, we may phone you or ask the student to speak with the principal in extreme events.
Students eat lunch in the lunch room every day. Students may bring their lunch (lunch box) or purchase lunch through the cafeteria. More information about purchasing lunch here. All students are responsible for informing the teacher if they are hot lunch (purchasing lunch) in the morning so that we have an accurate count. Students are also responsible for eating their lunch.
Birthday Party Procedure:
We love to celebrate birthdays~ Birthdays will ale place outside (weather/space permitting) at 2:30 p.m. Feel free to bring baby pictures and favorite books to share with the class! Food: Cupcakes and fruit are perfect! Cupcakes are preferred over cake (its easier to serve). Parents are responsible for providing paper products and all utensils needed for the celebration. I prefer that we have no “goody bags” or favors.
Every child is always welcome on every field trip, but they must have a signed permission slip. Often times, we are restricted on how many parents we can bring, so it is a first come, first serve system that we use to select parents. We like to have as man parents join as possible so if you have already come, please allow someone else to sign up.
Throughout the year we may ask parents to come in and help out around the classroom. Each family brings something different and special to the table, please let Ms .Guaraldo know if there is anything that you would like to share throughout the year (ie. family traditions).
