SCHOOL-WIDE COMMUNICATION OVERVIEW
- Messages from the Principal: Principal Rivas will send out emails to all families with a weekly family message and other timely communications.
- Website: The school’s main source of communication is www.stoddert.org. The website is for the school and it is maintained by the PTO. Please check it often and regularly for upcoming events and information.
- PTO Email List: In addition to the website, the PTO sends out email blasts containing important school information to subscribers to the PTO Email lists. There is a weekly Sunday email blast called the Chalkboard and during busy times of the year there are often midweek email blasts reminding subscribers about events taking place that week. Through this email list, you will also get email blasts, messages from the school and links to all of Principal Rivas’ updates. So, get yourself on the list!
- Emergency Communication: Emergencies are communicated through school’s ROBO call/text system. Please make sure that your contact information is accurate with the front office. School closures and delays due to weather are communicated through DCPS’s website and/or DCPS’s Twitter Feed. We highly recommend you familiarize yourself with this, especially for our kids’ favorites, the snow days!
