Jelleff Boys & Girls Afterschool Program

The Jelleff Boys & Girls Club, located next to the Safeway and across from Hardy Middle School, also offers a free after school program with free van transportation from Stoddert immediately after school. You must pick up your child at the Jelleff Boys & Girls Club – there is no return trip to Stoddert.

You can enroll onsite with Tarayra Staton, Athletic Director at Jelleff Recreation Center, via tstaton@bgcgw.org.

Jelleff’s program operates 3:00 – 8:00pm, five days a week starting the first day of school and is for students ages 6 and up. The program breaks students out by grade (1st to 3rd, 4th and 5th, middle school, high school) and provides enrichment activities through 7:30pm. Some of the activities include on-the-spot fun upon arrival, homework hour, a S.T.E.M team and program, daily cooking classes, art (mixed media, cartooning, graphic design), floor hockey leagues, math competition team, boys’ and girls’ running clubs affiliated with Boy on the Run and Girls on the Run, flag football and a travel soccer team to name most of them. The program partners with several outside organizations to provide the diversity of programming. The majority of students are elementary and middle school students. High school students are kept entirely separate and typically come towards the end of the day to play basketball or other sports.
