New School Boundary Effective 2019-20 School Year

Stoddert Elementary School is the public school of right for all school-age children living within the attendance zone.

In February 2019 DCPS informed all stakeholders that the Stoddert boundary change will be effective in School Year 2019-202.  In accordance with the 2014 DCPS boundary plan the change results in the southern area of the current Stoddert boundary as of SY18-19 (Burleith neighborhood) to be zoned for Hyde–Addison ES starting in SY19-20. This change was scheduled to trigger as soon as Hyde-Addison’s modernization was completed. To better understand the impact of this change, please carefully review this important DCPS letter.

Families can also apply out-of-boundary to DCPS schools or public charter schools through a lottery process.
