Hello Neighbors, 

I am sharing with you a petition put together by Stoddert’s Local School Advisory Team (LSAT) to Keep Stoddert and Glover Park Together.  We’re asking DCPS not to re-assign Stoddert families to the new Foxhall School. Please sign and share! 

As you may know, the Mayor and DCPS are planning to re-assign families within Stoddert’s boundaries to the new Foxhall School (to be located at 1550 Foxhall Road), even though Foxhall is not accessible or walkable from Glover Park, or any portion of Stoddert’s current boundaries. 

Re-assigning students to the new Foxhall School from even the closest point of Stoddert’s current boundaries would, at a minimum, double, if not triple, the distance for families to their assigned school. This would have a significant effect on our community, as the vast majority (at least 70%) of Stoddert families walk to school. 

This DCPS plan potentially affects not only those with children attending or planning to attend Stoddert, but all those in our community who value having an elementary school that is walkable from their homes.
