Dear Stoddert Families,
Thank you for attending last night’s virtual Back-to-School Night! The teachers, Ms. Villegas, and I appreciate and value your attendance and support.
Our ability to host large-group events such as Back-to-School Night and Town Hall is due to the support of our PTO. Thanks to their purchase of an upgraded Zoom license, we’re able to securely host those large-group events. Your PTO dues makes purchases such as this possible – so thank you for your PTO dues contribution.
As I announced at Back-to-School Night, we’ll be using that same Zoom license to host regularly scheduled virtual Coffees with the Principal. The first of those virtual coffees is scheduled for Wednesday, September 30th at 9:15 a.m. (immediately after that day’s Town Hall meeting). We’ll use these virtual coffees to share new or updated information with you, and to address your questions and concerns.
We can be better prepared to address your questions and concerns if we receive them in advance, so if at all possible, please send them to one of these email addresses:
The Beginning-of-Year (BOY) assessment window recently opened, and our school-based assessment team is busy administering those baseline assessments. The results of those assessments will be used by teachers and interventionists to plan differentiated small-group instruction, and to identify students who will benefit from an extra instructional boost.
Two reminders about virtual instruction:
- We still have some electronic devices available for student check-out. Please use the Signup Genius posted on Stoddert.org to schedule a time to pick up one of those devices.
- Please remember that when the camera on your child’s device is on, everything within camera range – INCLUDING YOU – can also be seen and heard.
As always, thanks for your continued support.
