Dear Stoddert Families,
I need to start this message with a huge THANK YOU to all of you. I am fully aware that, as we move into the Distance Learning window, you will bear the major responsibility of engaging your children in learning. Your children’s teachers will be as helpful and supportive as possible, and will connect with you and your children in creative ways, including:
- Daily emails
- Text messages
- Telephone calls
- Pictures and/or videos
- Group messaging apps such as Zoom or Webex
Each teacher has established regular office hours and shared those office hours with you. Do not hesitate to reach out to teachers during those office hours.
For students in 2nd-5th grades: our iReady Time on Task Wall of Fame will continue during the Distance Learning window. Any student who spends at least 101 minutes per week on iReady will earn raffle tickets for our end-of-year drawing for an iPad. So keep doing iReady!
DCPS has prepared additional learning packets for Week #2 of the Distance Learning window. Those packets will soon be available on Canvas, and hard copies will be available for pickup at Stoddert. I will post days and times for hard copy pickup later this week.
Finally, please join me in thanking our PTO leaders for all the support they’re providing. In case you don’t already know, this website is totally managed by PTO volunteer John Munzer, with input from PTO Co-Presidents Lucie Lebois and Jorge Highland. THANK YOU!
As always, thanks for your continued support.
