In the afternoon on Friday 3/13/20 DCPS wrote, “DCPS will take its Spring Break for students and teachers March 17-23, with distance learning taking place the week of March 24-31. The DCPS Office of Teaching and Learning has developed learning plans for students in each grade level (PK-8) and graduation requirement course (9-12) which are accessible to all learners, including students with IEPs and 504 plans, English language learners, and students in the HHIP program. These lessons can be completed offline and without the use of technology in the event a student does not have access. For those with technology access, we will also have additional content available. You will have access to all resources on Monday to support your planning. You can access week 1 learning plans here or https://bit.ly/33gmXFj, and more information and resources will be provided at Monday’s school-based professional development day. OTL will continue to develop additional weeks’ worth of learning plans so that student learning can continue in the event of an extended closure.”
