The Stoddert Garden continues to focus on the educational opportunities for all our students.
We are solely driven to increase our knowledgebase, increase skills, and increase yield guided by an everchanging and developing ecosystem.
Our curriculum involves observation, discussion, and application during our garden classes.
Students will be asked to journal either in pictorial or written expression.
We have expanded and renovated our garden space to meet the needs of our students and our existing outdoor family adding additional tables, azaela and rose bushes, more pollinator plants, and raised beds.
Though we have experienced growth beginning with a seedling and adult plant there are significant decline in the yield of certain vegetables.
We will explore and experiment with plant germination and seedling growth over the next sixty days with plant or vegetables that are successful during the fall season.
Sustainability is at the forefront of our garden program for the years to come.
In doing so, we are already working on the building of our own Stoddert greenhouse thus extending educational opportunity for our kids and possibly our surrounding community. Stoddert Garden is in the planning stages of building a Greenhouse. This will allow for extended school garden instruction and access to vegetables year round.
We are Stoddert Garden 2019.
