Interested in helping out your child’s teacher? Want to get to know your child’s teacher and parents of their classmates? Be a Room Parent!
A Room Parent is a volunteer who plays the important role of helping to facilitate communication between parents and the teacher, school administration and/or the PTO and will aide their teacher/s throughout the year. The responsibilities of a Room Parent may vary from teacher to teacher and grade to grade. Examples of tasks a Room Parent may help with include coordinating class celebrations, seeking chaperones for field trips, and reminding parents of upcoming Stoddert and class activities and deadlines.
If you are interested in becoming a Room Parent, please email the Room Parent Coordinator, Laurena Liu at email@example.com. Each class typically has two to three Room Parents. It’s always helpful for one of the parents to have served the role in the past, but we’d also love to have parents who have not been a room parent and parents new to Stoddert to take on the role!
If you have any questions, please contact Laurena at firstname.lastname@example.org.
