Before the holiday season, the Stoddert community held its annual book fair in the lobby. The proceeds from the fair allowed the PTO to purchase $1,162.85 in books for the school and earned the PTO an additional $956.95 in proceeds to help support school-wide activities throughout the year.
Additionally, with the support of many generous families and community members, all of the classroom book wishlists were fulfilled. On top of that, we sold $1,472 in Stoddert gear over two days during the book fair!
A big thank you to our book fair co-chairs, Jennifer Heindl and Lauren Metelski, and school gear team co-chairs, Lisa Bradburn and Michelle Jones for their hard work to make this event possible. Additional thank yous to all of the parent volunteers and faculty, including librarian Mrs. Bowlin, who helped to put on the fair. Lastly, thank you to all of the parents and family members who shopped at the book fair. Without all of this support, the book fair and all that it has allowed Stoddert to do would not be possible!
We have another opportunity to shop for books to benefit Stoddert at the upcoming Politics and Prose event on March 18th. Find more information about this event here.
