LSAT Meeting Minutes 01/25/2017

The meeting was called to order at 4:02 pm. Budget has not yet dropped.
OSSE will post their draft of their proposed school rating document next week; should be a 30-day comment period.
Ward 3 feeder education network is looking for feedback on the LEAP program one year in. Next meeting is Tuesday, January 31st at the Georgetown Library.
Thank you letter was sent to Brian Pick at DCPS to say thank you for coming to our school to talk about Fillmore. A response was received, though no particular details were given.
It was verified that Stoddert is projected to receive 40 hours of nursing care per week. It was reported that another nurse has been added to the pool, which should hopefully soon result in 4 days/wk of nursing care at Stoddert. Going forward, it is assumed that 40 hours/wk will be provided.
Principal stated that DCPS was to send observers to Stoddert on Friday to observe the Fillmore bussing situation. It was confirmed that there is no legal requirement to have an adult – aside from the driver – in each vehicle once the children are beyond Pre-K age.
Stoddert will need to do something about the Promethean boards, which are breaking down. An estimate on the expense of repairing the boards is anticipated next week.
DPR janitorial crew will now come at 9:30pm instead of 6:30, in order to better maintain clean bathrooms.
Staffing for 2017-2018 school year was discussed in a preliminary fashion prior to receiving the budget. Next meeting will be February 15th at 4:00 pm.
