The following is a letter from Principal Bryant regarding our school nurse…
Dear Stoddert Families,
It is with mixed feelings that I provide this update for you: Colette Poindexter, our fabulous school nurse, is leaving us to pursue a Masters Degree in Nursing.
I certainly understand Nurse Poindexter’s desire for an advanced degree, and I wish her all the best in this pursuit, but I also know that her presence will be greatly missed at Stoddert.
This week is Nurse Poindexter’s last week as a DCPS school nurse. And actually, since we share her with another school, her last day at Stoddert will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016. We are working with the Department Of Health to find a replacement, and are hopeful that our days of sharing a nurse with another school will soon end, and we’ll have a nurse at Stoddert five days per week.
I know that many of you share my feelings about Nurse Poindexter’s departure. Please stop in to tell her in person how much you appreciate all of her good work on behalf of our students and families.
Anyone interested in staying in touch with Nurse Poindexter is welcome to “friend” her on Facebook (Her FB name is Colette Mitchell Poindexter). Also, you may stay in touch with her through her personal email.
