The chickens arrived in our school’s garden! As a part of their earth science program, the students will learn about the two chickens and care for them. And, eggs that are laid will be available in the Farmer’s Market on Thursdays after school! We are still looking for weekend help with the chickens, please sign up here.
Today, the students at Stoddert participated in an assembly to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. It was a wonderful morning of performances and we wanted to thank the PTO, Parent Volunteers and Teachers who put it all together. All of the students at Stoddert will receive a DC One card. The cards will be administered through the school and processed over the next few weeks. The cards will give the students access to city facilities and programs, including public schools, recreation centers, libraries and the Metro. The cards will be valid for 5 years.
This is a friendly reminder that dogs are not permitted on Stoddert’s school grounds. This includes keeping dogs off of the baseball field, the playgrounds and the area in and around the garden. Additionally, please share this information with your Glover Park neighbors who may be using the field and school grounds with their dog.
Stoddert’s annual Enrollment Audit & Head Count takes place this year on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 9:30am. This will be the moment that each child’s enrollment at Stoddert is officially verified.
