Dear Stoddert Families,
You have sent us an amazing group of students this year! During these first few days of school, teachers have worked with their students to establish routines and expectations, and are now ready to begin rigorous, engaging instruction.
We truly appreciate all you’ve done to help make this opening week as smooth and productive as possible. We’ve been closely monitoring our entrance and dismissal procedures; those procedures are working fairly well, so we will continue to use them for the time being.
There is one thing you can do, however, to make our morning entrance procedure even better: bring your children to their assigned entry location at 8:37 a.m. Why 8:37? That provides adequate time to get the children lined up in an orderly fashion, ready to move to their classrooms at 8:45 a.m. If students arrive earlier than 8:37, they have extra time to stand in line, and the potential for accidents and/or misbehavior is greater.
