Welcome to Mrs. Ford-Barnum’s Pre-K page on the Stoddert website.
OUR MOTTO: No Worries, No Stress
Weekly Special Schedule: (subject to change)
Monday: Fillmore Arts & Share day
Tuesday: Information Literacy
Thursday: Garden/Science & Reading Buddies
Friday: Physical Education
Please send two nut free snacks with your child each day along with a water bottle labeled with your child’s name. We will be eating snack at 10am & 2pm each day, so you may want to put their snack in a different pocket of their backpack so they don’t eat their snack during lunch.
These folders are provided to each student and go back and forth each day. Please check the folder for any papers to be returned and/or important information.
Mrs. Ford-Barnum and Mrs. Strike’s Shutterfly Site will be used to communicate with parents/guardians of all the students in the class. This will give us an opportunity to relay messages, create volunteer sign up sheets, and any additional information pertaining to our classroom. If you find that you are not receiving information from the class please let us know.
Students eat lunch in the classroom every day. Students may bring their lunch (lunch box) or purchase lunch through the cafeteria. All students are responsible for informing the teacher if they are hot lunch (purchasing lunch) in the morning so that we have an accurate count. Students are also responsible for eating their lunch. The lunch menu can be found here.
Birthday Party Procedure:
We love to celebrate birthdays! We will be celebrating birthdays at 2:30 p.m.
Parents are responsible for providing paper products and all utensils needed for the celebration. We prefer that we have no “goody bags” or favors.
Please let us know a week in advance, on when you would like to celebrate your child’s special day.
Every child is always welcome on every field trip, but they must have a signed permission slip. Often times, we are restricted on how many parents we can bring, so it is a first come, first serve system that we use to select parents. We like to have as many parents join as possible so if you have already come, please allow someone else to sign up. We also love to see the Dad’s on field trips so don’t be shy.
Throughout the year we may ask parents to come in and help out around the classroom. Each family brings something different and special to the table, please let Mrs .Ford Barnum and Mrs. Strike know if there is anything that you would like to share throughout the year (ie. family traditions).
