What is the Stoddert Annual Auction?
This annual event is the school’s biggest fundraiser, raising approximately 30% of our PTO’s annual budget. Not only does it raise the needed funds to support important programs that benefit all children at Stoddert…
It is a fun, social gathering; intended to strengthens our Stoddert community and foster collaboration and goodwill between fellow parents, teachers, administrators and school supporters like YOU and all of our wonderful Glover Park Neighbors.
Food, drinks and entertainment are included in the cost of your ticket. With special guests DJ Ricky dropping beats and Radio Personality and Comedian; Danny Rouhier, current Stoddert parent, as our Live Auctioneer and MC!
Wanna keep the party going…Stay after the auction and enjoy drink specials for the 11:00 to 12:00 O’clock hour.
Who is Invited?
YOU ARE!!! So book your sitters now! *This is an adults-only event that is open to all Stoddert parents, teachers, staff, neighbors, friends and family.
What type of Auction Items can I expect?

- Classes will offer either a class basket, art project or a combination.

- There will be fun teacher outings for the kids and sign up parties for adults

- Fun Raffles leading up to the big day as well as at the event.
How Can I Purchase Tickets?
You can purchase tickets online for $75 each February 28th- March 6th. Tickets will be sold in person at Stoddert on March 6th from 3-6pm. On March 7, 2019, ticket prices will go up to $85 each.
PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE HERE
The last day to purchase tickets online will be Sunday, April 14th 2019. Tickets will be sold at the door on the night of the event for $95 each.
*We will also offer a few opportunities to purchase tickets in person before and after school on selected days in the next few months leading up to the Auction.

I Can’t Attend, May I Still Donate?
Yes, please do! There are plenty of ways for everyone to donate, even if you are not able to attend the auction. You will be able to purchase an online “Can’t Make It/Sponsor a Teacher” ticket to the event and celebrate with us in spirit! There will also be a few Online Only Auction Items that you can bid on as the event gets closer

Are There Any “Scholarships”?
We want as many people to attend this years Auction as possible so there will be a limited number of “scholarships” available for those in need of assistance. For more information about these please contact fundraising@stoddert.org. As always, teachers and staff at Stoddert are invited to be our guests free of charge for the evening.
How does it work?
Stoddert’s PTO will host an Old Hollywood themed cocktail party and Auction at Town Hall. Throughout the evening, attendees will have the chance to bid on class projects or baskets, teacher outings and more. Food, drinks and entertainment are included in the cost of a ticket.

Why should I attend?
This is a chance to have a great time, meet the parents of your child’s classmates and socialize with teachers and staff in a less-formal environment. Where else can you have crave-worthy comfort foods, delicious drinks, the chance to snag great deals on auction items while hanging out with your friends and neighbors? The more parents that go, the more fun it will be for everyone!
Why does the school need to raise money?
The city of Washington DC does not provide the necessary operating funds that help make Stoddert the amazing school that we love. Our school excels due to our strong volunteer commitments. By buying a ticket and attending The Auction parents have a direct impact on their child’s experiences at school.
All of the areas listed below are made possible through funds collected by the the School’s biggest fundraiser and are paid for by the PTO:
- Teacher stipends for classroom supplies like books, carpets and learning aides & charts
- Educational subscriptions
- Maintenance and care of the school grounds (the PTO pays for weeding and landscaping)
- Garden Coordinator salary and garden upgrades
- CPR and Professional Development Training
- Family Fun Night, Back to School Potluck, PTO Meetings with Pizza and Childcare
- Field trips, the Dancing Classrooms program and so much more!

Our Annual Auction is April 27, 2019. Join us to raise funds to providing vital resource materials and hire important staff to meet the needs of our students. Currently, Stoddert serves over 470 children. Your help goes directly to teacher stipends for materials, technology licenses, educational field trips and grounds maintenance, including upkeep of our award winning garden. When you sponsor our auction or provide a donation of goods or services, you will receive the following benefits:
Pack Leader Sponsorship- $1,000
• Your business logo or family name on our school website (stoddert.org) for 1 Year
• Recognition in Glover Park Gazette
• “Sponsor Spotlight” in the school’s weekly newsletter and on our Facebook Page
