PTO-Sponsored Programs

Stoddert families work hard to help make the school great. Family members volunteer in classrooms, in the library, at holiday festivals, and for PTO-sponsored events. Stoddert’s PTO is an organization of dedicated and energetic parents and teachers that sponsors many school activities and events benefiting the students, faculty, and staff. These include:

  • Before- and after-school care programs
  • Stoddert Summer Camp
  • School directory, Website, newsletters, and other communications tools to keep families involved and engaged
  • Reaching out to Bolling Air Force Base parents
  • Liaising with the Fillmore Arts program
  • Hospitality and child care
  • Room parents for every class
  • Staff appreciation days
  • School promotions, such as fall and spring Open Houses
  • Liaising with the Glover Park Citizens’ Association
  • Enhancing the school environment, building, playground, and natural habitat
  • Greening Stoddert
  • Supporting the Stoddert 2009-2010 modernization


  • Annual Fun Fair
  • The Big Chili, a silent auction and social
  • International Night, featuring a dinner and performances that showcase the cuisines, family traditions, and talents of our diverse student body
  • Back-to-School Potluck / Used Book Sale
  • Book Fair
  • International Day and Dinner
  • Restaurant Nights
  • Annual end-of-year picnic and fair
