The Chalkboard is the PTO’s weekly e-mail newsletter full of information about the school and upcoming events and activities. Please use the form below to sign up for the Chalkboard.
The Chalkboard e-mails are different from commutations (such as e-mails and text alerts) that the school and DCPS do regarding emergencies and school closures. Please make sure that your contact information is current and up-to-date with the front office to ensure that you are notified in the event of an emergency. Visit the DCPS website to sign up for emails and text alerts for school closures due to weather.
About the Chalkboard:
All information in the Chalkboard will be posted to the website (www.stodert.org) first, before going in the Chalkboard e-mail. The Chalkboard is simply a courtesy compilation of news and events that are listed on the website. If you miss a Chalkboard or you would like more information about an event, please visit the website.
Parents can expect the Chalkboard to be e-mailed out on Sunday mornings. Please make sure to check in your Spam folders and promotional tabs (if using Gmail) for the Chalkboard, so that it doesn’t get lost or overlooked.
In order to have an item included in the Chalkboard, please send it via e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Thursday at 5pm with “Chalkboard” in the subject line. Submissions must have all necessary approvals and information, details, attachments, pictures etc. The Chalkboard will not be held up for late or incomplete submissions.
