DCPS has closed all afterschool classes and therefore Stoddert will NOT be providing service this afternoon. Please make arrangements to pick up your children at 3:15 PM.

DCPS FY12 Budget Hearing | November 29

DCPS will convene a public hearing concerning the FY12 budget on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Old Council Chambers located at 441 4th Street NW Washington, DC 20001. The purpose of the hearing is to gather the views of the public on programs and levels of public funding to be sought for the public schools.

DCPS High School Fair | Saturday, November 20

The Office of Secondary School Transformation would like to invite 7th- and 8th-grade students and their families to the second District of Columbia Public Schools High School Fair on Saturday, November 20, 2010 from noon until 3:30 p.m. at the newly renovated Eastern High School. The High School Fair is an excellent opportunity for students and families to learn about all of the various high school options available in DCPS from principals, teachers, and current students.

Welcome Back, Benjamin Stoddert

Stoddert Elementary will host a historic, educational event on Tuesday, September 14 at 2:00 p.m. Parents and the Stoddert community are invited to welcome back to school our nation’s first Secretary of the Navy, Benjamin Stoddert. [Rumor has it that Benjamin Stoddert himself will be attending the event. Inside sources say that First Lady Abigail Adams will accompany him to represent President John Adams, who has a scheduling conflict due to other presidential responsibilities.]
