In May we will celebrate Get Caught Reading Month at Stoddert. In honor of the program (and Stoddert’s tenth year of participation) we will once again hold our annual Get Caught Reading contest. The Georgetown Kiwanis Club will provide judges for the contest and ice cream coupons for all participants. The top four entrants will receive award certificates and a $10 prize.
Samer Chiaviello and Joel Clark, Stoddert’s school-wide winners of this year’s Scripps National Spelling Bee, entered the next level of competition on Tuesday, February 16th. They finished first and second, and both will move on to the District-wide Bee on March 20!
Mrs. Barr and Mrs. Moisan offered an after-the-holiday writing challenge. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 were asked to sign up to write about a memorable moment over the holiday break.
