The chickens arrived in our school’s garden! As a part of their earth science program, the students will learn about the two chickens and care for them. And, eggs that are laid will be available in the Farmer’s Market on Thursdays after school! We are still looking for weekend help with the chickens, please sign up here.
This is a friendly reminder that dogs are not permitted on Stoddert’s school grounds. This includes keeping dogs off of the baseball field, the playgrounds and the area in and around the garden. Additionally, please share this information with your Glover Park neighbors who may be using the field and school grounds with their dog.
Do you work downtown? The Stoddert Farmer’s Market needs your help with picking up produce! We get fresh produce every week from the K Street Farm, which is run by DC Greens. October is Growing Healthy Schools Month! To celebrate this month, Stoddert will be having a “Get Out and Garden Day” on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 10am until noon in the Stoddert Elementary School garden.
