Here’s a short list of Fillmore’s exhibits and concerts to round out the 2010-2011 school year.
Because of spring break and an unforseen scheduling conflict, Fillmore has moved the annual art show and the spring concert to a later time in May. Please note the changes.
On Tuesday, February 22, Fillmore and the National Air and Space Museum will hold their annual Family Science Night. The program is limited to students in grades 3 and up. The night features gallery visits, an interactive science talk titled “A Voyage That Will Forever Change your Perspective,” and the IMAX film “Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon 3D.” More information and a reservation form in the post.
Wrapping up the week after the snowstorm: The NAEP will be rescheduled; the Kindergarten gets an extra teacher; Report cards issued February 4; Spectacular Fillmore performance February 4; Stoddert Academic Night February 8.

The Fillmore chorus (comprised of students in grades 3 to 5 from Key, Hyde, Stoddert, Ross and Hearst) has two exciting upcoming performances: December 8 at DAR Constitution Hall and December 13 at the Hardy/Fillmore auditorium.

Fillmore needs to recruit at least two parent board members from Stoddert and each of the program’s other member schools, but we also need occasional volunteers to help with everything from stuffing envelopes to staffing student performances.
