The festivities run from 11-5 at the corner of 14th and T, NW. There will be live music, lemonade stands, plenty of activities for kids and, of course, lots of great barbecue. This is the year’s big fundraiser for the Fillmore Arts Center, which provides award-winning arts programs for students at Hyde-Addison and nine other public elementary schools across DC. Virtually all the supplies and equipment used for the program are paid for by donations and events like this. So please stop by — Café Saint-Ex throws a great party!

Volunteers are needed to set up and run activities, beginning first thing Monday morning (kids can help, too). And we’re still looking for a few more contestants for the barbecue contest. Please join us for this wonderful display of artwork by your children. Every child who attends Fillmore—and that means every child at Stoddert—will have a piece of art on display. Restaurant Night for Arts Students

  • Town Hall restaurant, 2218 Wisconsin Avenue, NW

Town Hall, a popular neighborhood restaurant here in Glover Park, has generously offered a benefit night for Fillmore Arts Center. Town Hall will donate 15% of all proceeds to Fillmore Arts Center. These proceeds will help us purchase supplies and offer scholarships to our summer camp. Please join us for great food for a good cause!

The program will run from  6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fillmore Arts Center West, 1819 35th Street NW, 3rd Floor, Washington, DC.

  • From 6:30 p.m. to 7:10 p.m — Meet your child’s teachers, find out about class activities, and ask questions.
  • From 7:10 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. — Be an artist! Explore your creative side and take an arts class in sculpture, painting, digital arts, violin, or drama.
