THANK YOU!
While official Washington was at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner Saturday, April 27th, 2013, the real epicenter of Washington could be found battling the bids at the Josephine Butler House, which played host to Stoddert Elementary School’s largest fundraiser of the year- the Big Chili!
Our auction was a smashing success thanks to generous donations from our Stoddert community and the volunteer efforts of many. This year’s Big Chili helped raised much needed funds which support the Stoddert Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) in its activities, including hiring a librarian and garden educator, as well as grants to each of the teachers to purchase additional school supplies and materials at the beginning of next year.
Stoddert Elementary School is a Green Ribbon School. As such, the Big Chili is moving towards a paperless auction. This means the 2013 Thank You and Tax Letters will be sent via email. Please check to make sure bigchili@stoddert.org does not get filtered as a junk email. If you have not received your tax letter by end of May 2013, please contact us at bigchili@stoddert.org. We can also provide hard copy letters by request.
