Congrats to Ms. Flowers for the incredible Poetry Readings this week with her Stoddert kids!
And more congrats to Fillmore’s Ms. Pollet! Women in Technology (WIT), the premier organization contributing to the success of professional women in the Washington, D.C.-area technology community, has announced that Ms. Pollet is one of the the finalists for its 19th Annual Leadership Awards. This annual awards program identifies, recognizes, and celebrates female professionals who are leaders in the technology field and bring a unique vision and talent to the industry.
Important Fillmore Upcoming Dates
Monday, April 30
It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! Look out Monday for a way for you to help appreciate the Fillmore teachers! We’ll be setting up a huge thank-you note in the lobby. Parents and kids are all encouraged to sign!
Fillmore’s Annual Spring Art Show and Concert, Hardy Middle School Auditorium. The Art Show will be from 5-7pm in the halls of Fillmore, and the always magical Spring Concert will happen from 7-8 in the Hardy Auditorium. Don’t miss it!
Every Wednesday until the Spring Concert
Ms. Kharazian’s strings classes will have open rehearsals every Wednesday afternoon. (No rehearsal on May 2nd).
4:00 – 4:30 for students attending first period strings.
4:30 – 5:00 for students attending second period strings.
These are drop-in rehearsals – please email Ms. Kharazian if you plan to attend: Christine.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pro tip: many Stoddert parents have attended these, and they are incredibly helpful; it’s basically free music lessons!
DCPS Music Festival for Strings and Band on May 23 at the Kennedy Center. Our kids will play sometime between 12:30 and 2:30 pm in the Millenium Stage space overlooking the Potomac.
