The following is an update from our garden coordinator, Mr. Canada…
It was another exciting and busy week inside of the student garden classroom. Students are spending time (5th grade) germinating seeds for our upcoming garden season.
Our 4th grade classes watch the documentary on Food Waste. Students will work on a school wide project focusing on how we (Stoddert community) can personally make an impact in reducing the level of food waste.
Mason bees are arriving on the 19th, chickens on the first week after Spring Break, and the farmer’s market will start again on the 3rd Tuesday in April.
Click here for information about the mason bees coming to Stoddert.
All persons interested in volunteering in the school garden should contact me next week.
And finally, a sign up sheet will be posted for those persons or families who wish to take care of our chickens on weekends.
