The D.C. State Board of Education is seeking applications for its Parent & Student Advisory Committee. The purpose of the committee is to provide an outlet for parents and students to assist the Office of the Student Advocate in better serving families throughout DC and to foster conversations and uncover solutions about the issues all stakeholders face within DC’s public education landscape.
To date, they have not received any applications from Ward 3. It is their hope to have a well–rounded committee with parents and students representing the perspectives of all wards.
More information about the advisory committee can be found on their website (https://studentadvocate.dc.gov and click on the Parent & Student Advisory Committee tab). Any parent or student interested in applying to the Parent & Student Advisory Committee can fill out the application.
