This is an urgent and important request from the Stoddert PTO. Any and all Stoddert families are asked to please attend very important meeting to discuss overcrowding at Stoddert.
This Tuesday, May 2, 2016, at 7:00 pm the Deputy Mayor for Education Jennifer Niles will be at the Glover Park Citizens’ Association meeting to discuss the DCPS budget and answer questions about education. This meeting will be in Stoddert’s cafeteria. Children are welcome.
It is important that the Deputy Mayor hears from our community as we continue to press the Deputy Mayor, DCPS and our elected officials for a plan to address the severe overcrowding at Stoddert.
As you know, Stoddert is the most overcrowded school in Washington, DC with 435 students enrolled into a school building designed for 320 students. To date, no plan has been discussed or provided to address overcrowding at Stoddert.
At 135% over capacity, Stoddert’s situation demands a plan to address the serious educational, safety and security challenges that are occurring because the school’s core facility is so grossly overcrowded.
