Stoddert will hold its annual Science Fair for grades 3-5 on Thursday, March 9th from 9-12 in the gymnasium. If you are interested in serving as a science fair judge, please email Stoddert’s science teacher, Ms. Schneider. No special training or background is required to be a judge and parents are welcome to participate (though you will not be assigned to judge your child’s grade).
Like last year, 4th and 5th graders will complete individual projects for formal judging, while 3rd graders will learn how to conduct and present science fair projects by working with a group in the science lab to complete an assigned project related to their upcoming unit on animal survival. Although a judge will visit the tables at the fair to hear about their project, students will not be formally judged until 4th grade.
All grades at Stoddert will have an opportunity to visit the fair, and grades 1 – 2 will hold a morning of fun science activities.
We can’t wait to see all of the wonderful projects our young scientists will produce!
