Now that Halloween is behind us and you have all of that left-over candy, consider donating it to a great cause! Glover Park’s Brownie Troop 879, which it made up of Stoddert girls in the 2nd and 3rd grades, wants you to know that they will be starting their Halloween candy drive on November 2, 2015.
This year, they will be collecting unwanted and left over Hallween candy for Mattie Miracle Cancer Foundation, an organization who donates the candy to children fighting cancer here in the Washington DC metro area.
If you are interested in participating in this collection, gather your unused, uneaten, still-wrapped, left-over Halloween candy and place it in the drop box located at the front entrance of school starting Monday, November 2nd. The Brownies will be collecting candy until Thursday, November 12th.
By contributing to this collection, you will be lifting spirits of children and families fighting childhood cancer. We hope that you would consider helping us to and spread the word to your neighbors, friends and family about our candy collection for this wonderful organization.
