Roundtable: Nomination of Kaya Henderson for DCPS Chancellor | April 7

Council Chairman Kwame R. Brown has scheduled a public oversight roundtable on “The Selection of Kaya K. Henderson as Next DCPS Chancellor: A Community Conversation.” Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 6pm at Lafayette Elementary School (Cafeteria), 5701 Broad Branch Rd., NW, Washington, DC 20015. District residents are invited to discuss Mayor Gray’s nomination of Kaya K. Henderson as the next Chancellor of the District of Columbia Public Schools.

Pre-K forms are due April 1st — the waiting list will open April 2nd. The Big Chili is April 3rd, and DC-CAS testing starts April 4th for grades 3-5. Please get kids to school well rested and ON TIME.

Don’t forget the Black History Play 1:30 p.m. on March 28.

Big Chili: Day-of-Event Volunteers Needed

Please look for the jobs poster sign-up sheet on the school’s front doors next week and volunteer to help put on our annual party. You can also sign up via email. We need help with set-up, check-out, and clean-up duties.

2011 Summer Camp Registration

Stoddert’s 2011 summer camp program will operate from June 27 to August 12, weekdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The price is $200 per week, with extended hours available for an extra fee. To register, read the camp information packet, then complete and return the forms with your registration fees (by May 25).

Japan Earthquake Relief
