Welcome Back, Benjamin Stoddert

Stoddert Elementary will host a historic, educational event on Tuesday, September 14 at 2:00 p.m. Parents and the Stoddert community are invited to welcome back to school our nation’s first Secretary of the Navy, Benjamin Stoddert. [Rumor has it that Benjamin Stoddert himself will be attending the event. Inside sources say that First Lady Abigail Adams will accompany him to represent President John Adams, who has a scheduling conflict due to other presidential responsibilities.]
