Why Don’t My Kids Listen to Me?
Thursday, April 8, 7:30 – 9:00
A free workshop for parents of children ages 2 ½ to 18
If you’re starting to feel like a broken record or like you’re talking to a brick wall when it comes to talking with your kids, this workshop may be just what you’re looking for. Offered by the Parent Encouragement Program (PEP), a local nonprofit that’s offered parenting education in the DC area since 1982, this program offers great insights into what we often do to make our kids “parent deaf” and what parents can do to break the cycle and gain more cooperation from their kids without repeating, reminding, nagging or yelling. PEP offers some wonderful programs and this is a great opportunity to see one of them for free right here in Northwest. The program will take place at Temple Micah, 2829 Wisconsin Ave., NW. Space is limited and pre-registration is required by calling the Parent Encouragement Program at 301-929-8824 or 703-242-8824. www.PEPparent.org.
