DCSBOE Public Meeting | March 3

The DC State Board of Education will hold a public hearing to review the proposed rearticulation of the science standards.

Please review the presentation by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) to the State Board at the February 17, 2010 public meeting. The newly organized science standards documents in grades 5, 8, and Biology will establish a more effective assessment system and be a better resource to the District’s local education agencies and teachers. See the proposed standards here.

Constituents who wish to comment at the public meeting are required to notify the State Board of Education by the close of business Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Please provide one electronic copy and bring fifteen copies to the hearing for the Board Members to view.

The hearing will air live on District Knowledge Network (DKN) Comcast Channel 99 and RCN Channel 18.
