Stoddert held its school-level bee on Thursday, January 14. Math resource teacher Alex Treduff (Mr. Duff), was the organizer and moderator. The questions were very challenging, and ranged from world geography, to U.S. rivers bordering states, to which European country produces the most cotton. Mrs. Barr and Mrs. Moisan offered an after-the-holiday writing challenge. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 were asked to sign up to write about a memorable moment over the holiday break. As you know, there is no school for students on Friday, January 15, 2010. On that day, the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will host its third DPR Play Day for students in grades K-8 from 8:30am – 5:00pm to provide structured program options for DCPS students. This program is free, and breakfast, lunch and snack will be provided.
