This Week, from Dr. Cuthbert | November 21
Kudos to all of you who have your children arriving on time for school at 8:45 a.m. (not 9:00 a.m.). Please keep up the great work, as it means that your children will have gained 45 hours of instruction across the 180 days of school—well over the equivalent of an extra week of instruction! This is an exciting revelation. THANKS—you are contributing to the success of our school.
Another set of kudos to all of you for returning the Impact Aid forms that are required by the District in order to obtain federal funds. We have 100% of our forms completed!
Just wanted to let you know that we have a cell phone that was left at school at the Fall Festival parade time. It is a Motorola with AT&T shown on the back. I hope it belongs to one of you!
Please watch for notices from your children’s homeroom about the upcoming Parent/Teacher conferences on Monday, December 7. These will let you know how and when to sign up to come and speak with your teachers about your children’s progress. Remember, there is no school for students on December 7.
Super thanks to Jen Perry who organized a terrific PTA Open House this Thursday. Many prospective parents came, learned about the school, PTA, and before- and aftercare programs. They toured and saw good teaching and learning in our classrooms. They received information on the lottery processes for Pre-K and out-of-boundary registrations. Several of our guests thanked me by saying it was very organized and they had a great visit.
