Green Team Update

Stoddert’s Green Team is up and running! Here’s the latest:

• Recycling: We will continue recycling this year. Our bins and toters went missing during the move to the temporary building, but we are in the process of getting new materials from DCPS. There will be a DCPS recycling meeting on Tuedsay, October 6th, at Powell ES (1350 Upshur St. NW) at 4:30 PM. Third-grade teacher Jinny Choi and others will be attending.
• Energy: There will be a training workshop with the District Department of the Environment and the Alliance to Save Energy on Wednesday, October 7th. Ms. Choi and Mr. Duff will be attending and will bring back information to share.
• Student Green Team: A student group will be forming once more and will meet regularly. The group will have activities and responsibilities related to the recycling and energy program.
