Back-to-School Night
Wow, thanks for coming to our Back-to-School night. It was great to see so many of you and meet more of you that I had not met yet. I hope you learned about your child(ren)’s curriculum and fun activities that are planned for the year. There are so many great projects going on in all of the classrooms. Your attendance solidifies our partnership for success.

DCPS Budget Cuts
A letter from Chancellor Rhee was sent home on Thursday outlining budget reductions and a reduction in force (RIF) procedure that DCPS will be following. It states that school personnel will be affected by both a Council cut and, for us, enrollment that fell short of the projected number. I have met with the LSRT and informed them of the pending reductions. We will work very hard in the next days to do the best we can do for your children. Their continued achievement is of the utmost importance.

New Playspace!
THANKS to all of you and the PTA for the great things that are about to happen with our new blacktop area and on the new grass. You have such wonderful plans for the Stoddert Wolves.
