September 12 | From the PTA Co-Presidents

Happy weekend!

We want to say a giant THANKS to Jodi Ferrier and Eve-Lynn Turmail for organizing a wonderful potluck this week. We had a great turnout and it was a fun way to get the year going. Thanks to all who attended and brought such delicious food, too.

As you know, Thursday September 17 is our first PTA meeting of the year and Back to School Night. During the PTA meeting, we will elect a fourth member of the LSRT, and if we have any candidates, a Vice President for D.C. Affairs.

• The LSRT is made up of parents, teachers, and Dr. Cuthbert, and works on budget, curriculum, and other community issues.
• The Vice President for D.C. Affairs is charged with following and participating in D.C. politics as it relates to schools.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested in either position.

Good news about the playground: We expect blacktop to be added to the front of Stoddert East within the next two weeks. Thanks again to Mike Gardner and Brian Cohen for their efforts on this!
