1st grade welcome and supply list (Ms. Gross)

**Please note there are two first-grade class at Stoddert. You need to know in which your child has been enrolled.**

Welcome to 1st Grade!!!

Dear Parents/Guardians:

My name is Andrea Gross and I will be your child’s 1st grade teacher for the 2009-2010 school year at Stoddert Elementary School.  Get ready for a fabulous year!

Your child will need the following supplies for 1st grade. Please label all items marked with an asterisk (*) with your child’s first and last name.  Supplies should be sent in during the first week of school. Please DO NOT send in pencil sharpeners, tape, rulers, notebooks, or TOYS.

Supply List:
•    1 regular sized book bag*
•    3 marble composition books*
•    1 box of colored markers*
•    1 box of tissues
•    4 glue sticks
•    1 pair of clean socks (to be used as erasers for dry erase boards)
•    4 dry erase markers
•    2 current pictures
•    1 school supply box*
•    4 pocket folders*
•    2 pairs of scissors*
•    1 box of crayons*
•    2 rolls of paper towels
•    2 packs of pencils (these will need to be replaced throughout the school year)
•    1 container of sanitizing wipes or baby wipes
•    1 box of zip-lock plastic bags

Your child will also need pencils, glue, scissors, crayons, and old magazines to use at home.  Thank you for your cooperation, and I look forward to meeting you and your child at the start of school.  Enjoy the rest of summer vacation!
