The largest expense this month is for K-5 non-fiction books, organized by reading level in six book sets, that will be used by teachers working with small groups of students. DC Public Schools will be celebrating volunteers from May 21-25 and selecting outstanding volunteers for awards. Each school may ask its community to nominate individuals and groups of volunteers for five different awards. Nominations must be submitted by May 4, 2012. Details in the post.
